The
Western world, although still pretending to be predominantly Christian, has
effectively substituted the traditional Christian values by a set of new
values, representing a new “Freedom”
religion, in which the old morality has been discarded in favor of the
promotion of non-traditional values, such as the defense of gay and lesbian
right to social prominence; protection of irreverent speech, which normally
includes trashing the religious foundation of Western society; the capitalist
cult of money, as opposed to Christian socialism; and such. The reaction of the
Western Christians to this kind of substitution is in itself abominable.--- Instead
of fighting for traditional moral values, they have themselves substituted the
bare basics of Christian morality by a political agenda which follows partisan,
rather than moral issues. Let us not be confused by such issues as abortion and
evolution: they are merely artificial items of the political agenda, at the
expense of the natural Christian values of a far larger importance and social impact.
…Perhaps,
Moscow is the Third Rome, after all? Of all Christian Churches, which Church,
except the Russian Orthodox Church, can stand up for the traditional Christian
values, and defend them against the fierce onslaught of modern “freedoms”?
